AWS Marketplace (https://aws.amazon.com/marketplace/) is an online store that helps customers find, buy, and immediately start using software and services that run on the AWS Cloud. We are looking for an experienced Software Development Manager to build a new team and own our Server Fulfillment team for an exciting new product line. As a the leader and a founding member of this new team, you will be responsible for building the team, crafting a vision, building a roadmap, and delivering against it. Additionally, you will have significant influence on our overall AWS Marketplace strategy, drive system architecture, and spearhead best practices for your team. AWS Marketplace launched (in April 2012) with a goal of bringing Amazon.com's e-commerce expertise to cloud software and fundamentally changing how cloud software is discovered and consumed. The feedback from customers continues to roll in, and we have a long list of new ideas just waiting to be designed and implemented. We are using
· BS in Computer Science or equivalent · · 10+ years of industry experience, including 5+ years as a Development Manager · · Proven track record of hiring and managing high performing engineering teams · · MS in Computer Science or equivalent · · 15+ years of industry experience, including 10+ years as a Development Manager · · Programming in C, C++, C# and/or Java in Linux and/or Windows environment. · · Experience building scalable infrastructure software or distributed systems for commercial online services. · · Experience with AWS services EC2, EBS, RDS, SWF, etc · · Sharp analytical abilities
