Want to make history and be a part of something incredible? Amazon Web Services is looking for an experienced engineering leader to define and build the future of Internet of Things (IoT) Platform. IoT refers to a system of physical devices, from cars, light bulbs, sensor grids and more, that connect to the Internet. We are looking for an experienced Software Development Manager to lead a motivated team of engineers on a new initiative to expand the AWS IoT platform. The team will build a wide range of large scale distributed systems. You should be innovative, flexible, have strong leadership skills and be able to work collaboratively with cross-functional business and software development teams to solve critical business problems. As the engineering team leader, you’ll work closely with the engineering staff and other leaders in the organization to execute your team’s feature roadmap. You will have direct input into requirement definition, and will work closely with our customers, developers
· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field · 6+ years professional experience in software development management · Advanced competency in distributed systems design · 5+ years experience in managing large scale software development teams following Agile development processes· Master Degree or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field. · 8+ years experience leading the definition and development of multi tier web services · 5+ years experience leading development of applications backed by AWS services · Have delivered results with a strong entrepreneurial
