AWS Global Infrastructure is looking for an experienced software development manager who is a passionate advocate of enterprise data security and asset security. Our group designs and builds autonomous hardware and software solutions to protect Amazon customer data and intellectual property by monitoring, alarming, and custody tracking of physical assets in AWS data centers. Our ideal candidate will be a multi-talented leader who is a capable manager of skilled technologists as well as an experienced steward of the business goals and project milestones within their space. In this position, you will guide the implementation efforts of software development engineers, as well as being directly involved in the business strategy and technical direction. Our environment and user base is massive and fast-paced, spanning multiple data centers and multiple countries. · Bachelor’s degree, preferably in computer science or a similar degree, or commensurate industry experience · 5+ years of industry experience in software development management as a development manager · 1+ years experience in cross-team coordination and executive presentation skills · 1+ years of experience in project management e.g. project definition, requirement definition, project plan creation and execution, risk management, measurement of success· Excellent verbal and written communication skills · Proven track record of building and managing high performing engineering teams · Industrial
