Job Description AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) enables customers to secure their workloads in the cloud by providing authentication and authorization mechanisms. With the growth of AWS, the workloads and access pattern keep evolving demanding the next order of magnitude scalability. We are looking for engineering leaders to build the next generation functionality in this area. Individuals interested in this position should have experience in software engineering leadership position, building high-performing, reliable systems in a complex, multi-tiered, and distributed environment in a fast-paced environment. Key responsibilities include: Lead a team of software development engineers and system engineers. Manage and develop the team, including hiring, retention, performance management, mentoring and capability/skill development. · Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline · 5+ years of experience as a software developer · 3+ years of experience managing people · Experience running and maintaining a 24x7 production environment · Demonstrated knowledge of best practices for the design and implementation of large-scale systems as well as experience in taking such systems from design to production and operating at large scale · Experience defining system architectures and exploring technical feasibility tradeoffs · Masters or PhD degree in computer science, computer engineering
