We’re looking for a Software Development Manager to help build industry-leading conversational technologies that customers love. As a Software Development Manager for the Alexa AI team, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and driving the design, development, testing, and deployment of distributed systems and big data solutions from AI, ML, Natural Language Question Answering, Personalization, pushing the boundaries of machine intelligence. A successful candidate will have an established background in building services, managing the development of existing code, scaling systems
· 5+ years of experience managing software development teams · Hands on experience with programming languages such as C/C++, Java, Perl or Python and open-source technologies (Apache, Hadoop) · Knowledge of professional software engineering practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations · Ability to rapidly prototype and evaluate applications and interaction methodologies · Experience in building complex, real-time software systems involving AI, ML, NLU, and ASR algorithms that
