Amazon Echo and Alexa are magical: you can ask for any music and it plays instantly. But it's still Day 1 for the voice-enabled music experiences, and we're looking for a leader to help us make it even better. As manager of the Amazon Music Voice Growth team, you will be responsible for leading the effort to invent and improve the ways that customers find and use Amazon Music Unlimited. You will lead your team to create new scalable systems to fulfill customer requests, analyze huge amounts of customer data to define and resolve customer friction, and deliver big results for customers. You'll work directly with senior business leaders to find ways to achieve aggressive goals, and innovate to find the perfect customer experience for engaging customers with Amazon Music on Alexa. The ideal candidate is interested in being the hands-on leader of a nimble team, passionate about innovating for customers, and has a demonstrable track record of success in delivering new features and products.
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline · 5+ years of relevant engineering experience · 2+ years people management experience · 3+ years Java services development experience · Experience with back-end distributed systems · Knowledge of the Agile Development Methodology· Deep hands-on technical expertise in service oriented architecture · Strong business and technical vision · Ability to handle multiple contending priorities in an energizing environment · A deep understanding of software development in a team, and experience shipping software
