The Alexa engine team is looking for a SDM to help build analytics platform to understand customer's experience while interacting with Amazon Alexa. The data is used both by internal and external services to improve their services and drive customer satisfaction. As a Software Development Manager, you will lead a team of engineers that are passion about new data products, building best of breed data ingestion and storage platform and interacting with multiple domains within Alexa. You will have an established background in developing highly scalable software, a strong technical ability, excellent project management and communication skills. · Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related degree · 3+ years of experience as an engineering manager of one or more teams delivering against a technology roadmap · Experience in development of distributed/scalable systems and high-volume transaction applications· Experience developing cloud software services and an understanding of design for availability, performance and reliability · OO design/development skills and have experience driving projects from concept to prototype, and finally implementation · Development experience defining, developing and maintaining web service API's · Excellence
