Amazon Search is looking for a Software Development Manager to be part of the Search Customer Experience Platform team. The organization enables teams throughout the company to conceptualize, create and evaluate compelling search experiences for our customers. Our mission is to manage the portfolio of services that service hundreds of clients across Amazon and provide a world-class customer experience. As a Software Development Manager, you will be the single-threaded owner of multiple tier-1 services responsible for powering Search pages worldwide. You will lead a strong engineering team in executing against a roadmap you own and define. · Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related discipline with 5+ years of experience; or Bachelor’s Degree with 7+ years of experience. · 3+ years of experience leading a software development team through multiple product/platform releases. · Demonstrated proficiency with an object-oriented programming language; strong object-oriented design and algorithmic analysis background. · Track record of developing engineers through various career stages and building high-performance teams. · Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to present complex technical information
