Alexa is the Amazon cloud service that powers Echo, the groundbreaking Amazon device designed around your voice. We’re building the solutions and applications behind Alexa Communications. The Alexa Communications team’s mission is to bring people closer together by enabling customers to use their Alexa devices for convenient, natural, and expressive conversations with family and friends. We are growing a new team to build frameworks/tools for helping internal Amazon engineers and our 3P developers validate the customer at scale. These products will form the bedrock for building and releasing quality products for our end customers. You will have significant influence on our overall strategy by helping define the product features, drive the system architecture, and spearhead the best practices that enable a quality product. Creating reliable, scalable, and high performance products requires exceptional technical expertise, a sound understanding of the fundamentals of Computer Science, and
· Bachelor's degree and/or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent. · 7+ years of software engineering , including Java and/or C++. · 2+ years of in networking, multi-threaded applications and complex software development. · Experience in building high-performance, highly-available and scalable systems. · Experience designing, building and managing IP based systems and services.· Master’s degree · Experience with Raspberry Pie's and/or hardware projects · Excellence in technical communications with both technical and non-technical peers · Excellent judgment, organizational and problem-solving
