Whether you're developing a new widget or exploring a new product display, we believe it should take hours, not weeks to test whether a change helps customers make more informed buying decisions. Come help us obsess over our customers! We are looking for a motivated Software Development Engineer who is equally passionate about optimizing the Amazon search page and about developer experience. You will impact how widget content is displayed in Search – balancing customer exposure to navigational tools, time sensitive sales, advertising
· 6 or more years’ experience in software development · Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/related field or equivalent work experience · Experience with object oriented programming including Java, C++, C#, or C· Candidates must be able to design and write high-performance, reliable, and maintainable code · Successful candidates will have a strong background building large scale web applications · Strong desire to improve our customer's search experience as well as developer experience internally. · Experience with Scrum or Agile development · Knowledge of professional software engineering practices
