As part of the Consumer Cloud Enablement business, our mission is to build the next generation of cloud platform that will revolutionize the way people engage with the internet. We are building an Intelligent Cloud Control System that will enable organizations in the Amazon Consumer Business (Retail, Amazon Video, Kindle, Amazon Subsidiaries and more) to accelerate innovating in the Cloud. Over the next 3 years we will migrate 100,000s of Amazon services to the AWS Cloud. Our team uses mathematical models and machine learning to predict future business metrics and automatically scale Amazon's servers to handle the predicted load. Efficiently allocating Amazon's resources to match the behavior of our customers and services is a complex problem involving statistical analysis, automation of expert knowledge, machine learning, and interoperation with many other Amazon systems. On top of all that, we're building a user experience that reduces this complexity to a level that anyone can use without
· Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field · 5+ years of professional development experience · Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design · Computer Science fundamentals in data structures · Computer Science fundamentals in algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis · Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as C, C# C++, Java, Python, Ruby, or Perl· Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers · Knowledge of professional software engineering practices and best practices for the full
