Amazon Elastic Container Registry (Amazon ECR) is looking for Software Development Engineers (SDEs) to build a container registry that's fast, scalable, and secure. As more companies switch to containers to improve the speed of their software delivery, they look to ECR for a great set of image management tools. We continue to grow the ecosystem of CI/CD and security-related features and tools that our customers use on a daily basis. In 2019, our primary areas of focus are security and performance. For example, we are working on image scanning to help customers find and fix vulnerabilities in their software, and we are solving exciting technical challenges such as how to dramatically reduce the time it takes to launch a container within AWS. ECR is at the heart of most containerized applications and workflows that run on AWS. Customers that use ECS, EKS, Fargate, Batch, and other container-based services, rely on ECR, and the platform is growing very quickly. This is an opportunity to build
· BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience. Knowledge of CS fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms. · Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design. · 2+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.· Experience using containers to build and operate software. · Knowledge of internet and security fundamentals. · Passion for open source.
