The Amazon Retail Experience Design team (RED) is a group of highly curious designers, researchers, prototypers, and developers working collaboratively to bring products to life, and help create people-product love connections. Our team is excited to welcome a highly motivated, customer obsessed Software Development Engineer to join us as we build best-in-class shopping customer experiences (CX) for millions of people around the world. As a Software Development Engineer, you will be a founding member of our new CX Excellence initiative, where you will build innovative experiences for Amazon designers, developers, and product managers across the full technology stack, from backend services up through customer-facing widgets. You’ll work closely with designer, research, and product leaders to create and expand tools and services that provide consultation and learnings enabling teams to close the gaps between design and development, raising the bar on crafting customer experiences at scale
· 2-5 years’ experience in Software development · Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field. · Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis · Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as C++ or Java.· Knowledge of professional software engineering practices and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations. · Experience developing complex, scalable, cloud-based
