The Alexa engine team is looking for a SDE to help build the availability metrics and analytics platform for Amazon Alexa. We are looking for a candidate with a passion for new data products, building best of breed data ingestion and storage platform. Candidate must exude enthusiasm for our mission, and a talent for building great products. You will be responsible for driving availability and optimizations across the teams in Alexa. You will have significant influence on our overall strategy by helping define the system architecture, and spearhead the best practices that enable a quality product. · 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience · Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design · 1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems. · Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field · 3+ years experience building production software systems· Experience developing cloud software services and an understanding of design for availability, performance and reliability · OO design/development
