The AWS SDKs and Tools team is searching for experienced cross-platform development experts eager to make the AWS platform even easier for developers to use across our 8 supported SDK languages. We're looking for systems software engineers who are passionate about giving customers the best possible developer experience, have strong C/C++ skills, and are excited to build high-quality open-source software in a fast moving, agile environment. In this position, you'll be at the heart of AWS SDKs, frequently collaborating with AWS service and platform teams as well as internal customers from all over Amazon. You'll work with the language-specific AWS SDKs teams to identify and develop features that work consistently across the AWS SDK languages and platforms to drive increased scalability, consistency and growth for all AWS SDKs. To succeed in this role, you should be incredibly customer focused, have a strong command of low-level development, web-scale protocols, cross-platform development,
· Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering or related field or equivalent experience · 4+ years professional experience in commercial or web-scale system software development and delivery · Proven native language design and implementation skills (C/C++, RUST, FORTRAN, PASCAL etc....) · Expert skill in a scripting language such as Bash, Python, or Ruby · Deep understanding of operating systems, Linux, OSX, Windows, Mobile · Experience with building and distributing consumable native binaries · Deep understanding of scalable computing systems, software architecture, data structures
