The AWS SDKs and Tools team is searching for a software development engineer that has a passion for metrics including diving deep into data, doing analysis, discovering root causes, and designing long-term solutions. We are looking for a passionate developer who can help AWS build intelligent, efficient, scalable system to produce useful and actionable business information from a multitude of data sources. In this position, you'll be at the heart of AWS, frequently collaborating with AWS service, business intelligence, and platform teams and other internal customers from all over Amazon. To succeed in this role, you should be incredibly customer focused, have a strong command of scalable enterprise-quality software development and data analysis. You must enjoy collaborating with teams across the company and take pleasure from delighting customers with high-quality, best-of-breed data visualization tools and systems.
· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, or 4+ years relevant work experience · Minimum of three years software development experience in Java, Python or another high-level programming language. · Computer Science fundamentals in algorithm design, problem solving, object-oriented design and complexity analysis. · Strong desire to build great tools and libraries for other developers. · Willingness to roll up your sleeves and do what's necessary to drive your projects to completion. Strong sense of ownership. · Excellent written and spoken communication · 2+ years of relevant experience
