Alexa is the Amazon cloud service powering the Echo family of devices. We believe voice is the most natural user interface for interacting with technology across many domains, and customers love the convenience of Alexa in their daily lives. As an software engineer, you will own developing and maintaining new services. You will work closely with mentors in voice user interfaces and natural language understanding, as well as with stakeholders across Amazon. This role is a great fit for a contributor who is passionate about the customer experience, can easily adapt to changing business and technical needs, and has a track record of delivering software solutions.
· 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience · Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design · 1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems. · Experience with internet-scale public APIs. · Experience with large distributed systems.
