AWS Marketing Engineering is an interesting, growing team in the Seattle area. We have a simple idea that AWS pricing can be made easy to understand, even though AWS admittedly has many products and services. We we win when our customers make informed purchasing decisions. In particular, we're looking for ways to help our customer describe their use cases and map them onto AWS services. As a team, we believe in building modern, highly scalable services that are easy to support. To accomplish this goal, we’ve built a serverless, event-driven architecture leveraging Lambda, S3, SNS, CloudFront and API gateway. We’ve grown quickly and need help designing and building new services. This job designs, codes, tests, documents and supports the software that makes AWS Marketing great. You'll work on code that delivers content to https://aws.amazon.com and https://calculator.aws.
· Bachelor's degree in software engineering or computer science; in lieu of this degree, substantial experience beyond the 5+ years listed below may also be considered · 5+ years of engineering experience · 1 + year of experience building distributed architectures or Internet scale content delivery · 1+ year of experience using programming language polyglot · 1 + year of building distributed systems, query layers or data ETLs· Master's degree in software engineering · Experience with Elasticsearch, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudSearch, CloudFront, SNS, and/or SQS · Fluency in Java and JavaScript/Typescript
