The AWS Marketing Engineering team is building a new platform to deliver a set of highly scalable and innovative serverless web apps for the marketing org and our customers. Our front-end stack uses a modern development environment (TypeScript, JavaScript, React, Webpack, GraphQL), and our back-end APIs are built using a serverless architecture, employing AWS services such as Cognito, API Gateway, Lambda, DynamoDB, and more. As a Software Development Engineer (SDE), you will be the technical leader of the development of multiple REST-based microservices, integrations with the serverless architecture, and how the front-end appliances interface to your services. You will provide technical, architectural, and customer-focused guidance to the engineering team, product management, and UX designers, while building services that are intuitive, performant, and secure. · 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience · Programming experience with at least one modern language, such as Java, C++ or C#, and including object-oriented design · 1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems· Experience in an Agile/Scrum environment, to deliver high-quality software against aggressive schedules · Experience in developing back-end services using AWS technologies · Experience in rapid prototyping and other fast iteration methods for product
