Azure Compute Manager is a collection of microservices that site at the heart of Azure. We build fault tolerant distributed systems on top of commodity datacenter hardware to deliver an infrastructure for hosting cloud applications in virtual machines. We create an illusion that resources are limitless, infinitely elastic, and always available. We're on a mission to provide low cost compute with high availability and fast performance guarantees to enable our customers to host applications and critical workloads in the cloud. We are looking for a developer to help us build solutions to address needs that span our core distributed services platform.
In this role you would work on a variety of problems including scalable logging, health monitoring, reverse proxying, service deployment, and security. Our space is big but our team is small, so we are looking for individuals that are self-driven, quick learners, and have a growth mindset!
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent. - Familiarity with distributed systems and/or networking fundamentals Preferred qualifications: - Experience with programming in an object-oriented language (eg: C#) - Experience building and/or debugging distributed services - Strong analytic and multi-tasking skills Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
