Prime Pantry is a new retail format launched in multiple countries to allow Amazon to sustainably sell everyday items in everyday pack sizes to a national audience. Prime Pantry is one of the fastest growing store within Amazon.com, offering mainstream consumable items with a customer experience that encourages customers to build a basket of items delivered to their door. Prime Pantry team is innovative with a fast paced, highly collaborative start up like environment inside Amazon. To be successful, an SDE2 need to be flexible and entrepreneurial, deeply interested in product design, architecture, and work relentlessly on the best customer experience. This role is also required to be comfortable with a degree of ambiguity and willing to develop quick proof of concepts, iterate and improve. We expect an SDE2 to create extendable design and easy to maintain technical foundation with the long-term vision in mind.
· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field · 5+ years professional experience in software development · Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures and algorithm design. · Strong problem solving and complexity analysis · Strong written and verbal communication · Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as C, C++ or Java · Experience taking a project from inception through launch.
