The Kindle Content Accessibility Team is seeking a software development engineer (SDE) with a passion for solving complex problems, tenacity to make changes in multiple code bases, flexibility to ship products on multiple reading surfaces (iOS, Android, Fire OS E-readers and PC) and the drive to create reading experiences that are fun and comfortable for all Kindle customers to lead our accessibility technology programs. Kindle is looking for a passionate and talented SDE who will help build the next versions of our reading and shopping software that is delightful for all customers to use regardless of their ability. · BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent. · 3+ years of object oriented software design and development experience with Java and C++· Mobile application development on iOS and/ or Android · Experience with Objective C · Experience building products and services that are accessible to blind and low vision customers, complying with industry standards such as WCAG 2.x. · Experience with assistive technologies such as screen readers, tactile or braille displays. · Engineering process expertise, with a full understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) principles. · Robust project planning/execution
