The Liquid engineering team is driving the digital transformation of Microsoft's trustworthy computing strategy and experiences. We are responsible for delivering Liquid, an (internal) data-centric cloud service that manages data used to support compliance and risk decision making across the Company. Our scope is company wide, so we partner broadly with engineering teams, compliance and risk managers, and corporate leadership. Our focus this year is centered on the security of all Microsoft products and services. The demand for our services continues to increase, as does the volume and complexity of the work required to deliver, so we're looking for great people to join the team. Optimize existing systems and data pipelines, building infrastructure and eliminating manual work through automation Apply availability, performance and scalability expertise to ensure Liquid services continue to meet partner expectations Constantly improve customer experience through quantitative service monitoring, alerting, and the use of data and operational dashboards In-depth data analysis to identify service trends and make necessary adjustments and improvements Support operational security through application of process and technology Introduce and maintain continuity and recoverability
BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field involving coding (e.g., physics or mathematics), or equivalent practical experience Familiarity with common software design principles 3+ years of relevant software design and development in C# Development using SQL and SQL Server administration, configuration and optimization Experience working with big data sets (10 TB+ and tables with millions of records) Strong debugging skills and methodological approach towards complex problem solving Experience optimizing data models, data pipelines code and infrastructure Strong experience with Azure
