Amazon seeks an experienced Sr. Vendor Manager to play a key role on the HR Services Solutions (HRSS) team. The Sr. Vendor Manager will advocate for our product and service teams in representing Amazon to external third parties and other internal legal, procurement and tax partners and cross functional leaders. Using analytical capabilities, project management skills, business acumen and a strategic focus, this role will help set high standards and cultivate operational excellence. Key work will include managing the HRSS vendor portfolio, bridging gaps between internal stakeholders, procurement, contract negotiations and management of monthly finance accruals. The successful candidate will work closely with the Director of HRSS and HRSS Business Operations Manager to complete financial analysis in support of business objectives. The candidate will need to be strategic, analytical, and have a demonstrated ability to effectively manage financial responsibilities including developing financial
· Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, HR, or related field · 5+ years of relevant experience in vendor management/selection and negotiations · Advanced Excel and business modeling skills · Excellent verbal and written communications skills · Strong analytical and communication skills with an ability to articulate financial views to business teams · Ability to operate simultaneously and effectively in both tactical and strategic modes · Strong bias for action with the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment · Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting
