Home Improvement Team Amazon Home Improvement
The Amazon Home Improvement Team is looking for an analytic, self-starting, and engaging Senior Vendor Manager who will be responsible for driving business inputs across the Electrical and Heating category while partnering with the Smart Home organization to deliver a best in class customer experience. This role is highly collaborative and will span internal and external stakeholders across supply chain, senior leadership, and program management teams. We focus on creating viable, long term business strategies that drive value for both Amazon and our vendors. This role will be responsible for strategic planning, including product assortment decisions, annual vendor negotiations, overstock planning, promotional cadences, and the P and L management for the category. The eventual success of the category will be a direct result of this candidate’s ability to earn trust and develop mutually beneficial plans that offer Amazon customers the best experience across price, selection, and convenience
· BA/BS degree required · · 5+ years in buying, account management, product management, project management, financial analysis and/or marketing · · 2+ years negotiation experience · · strong analytical and quantitative skills; leverage data and metrics to develop assumptions and support conclusions · · excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to influence others · · ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a strong bias for action· MBA · · prior online retail experience is a plus · · excellent judgment and prioritization skills · · passion
