We are working backwards from our customers to deliver on the promise of a true voice-powered AI assistant. We are searching for a Senior Multimodal Designer that will own the interaction models and design for customers interacting with Alexa across a range of News experiences including Fire TV, mobile, touch, and voice. This role is part of Alexa’s North Star Experience team. We are the creative and best practices org that works vertically and horizontally across Alexa to develop new core Alexa product experiences, define new experience paradigms, develop standards, patterns, training, and resources that help teams (ours and others) build better experiences. Our team includes VUI designers, Multimodal UX designers, user researchers, creative writers, product managers, and program managers. In this role you
· Bachelor’s degree in Design or equivalent design-related field · · 6+ years of experience as an interaction designer, user interface designer, conversational designer or similar role · · Design experience on tablet, mobile, or television consumer devices · · Experience with Sketch, Adobe Creative Cloud, or their functional equivalents · · Experience working directly with developers for implementation of designs · A portfolio demonstrating relevant design experience with work samples showcasing process sketches, design documentation, detailed design presentations and the resulting customer impact·
