Amazon is seeking a Sr. U.S. Immigration Specialist to support the needs of our growing organization. The U.S. immigration business consulting team of Specialists, based in Seattle, provides bespoke written operational analyses for business, HR, recruiting stakeholders that require very high judgment in understanding and analyzing trends, spend, filing strategies. This Seattle-based leadership role will use very high judgment in understanding and analyzing trends, spend, filing strategies for stakeholder groups. Responsibilities include: · Understand current state of system, processes, and U.S. immigration policy and regulations · Serve as a single threaded leader for assigned businesses to provide creative, yet compliant, immigration consultations on corporate restructures, role changes, alternate filing strategies · Work with others on the immigration team to support large scale projects, including writing or deploying communications, executing case filing strategies with outside immigration
· Bachelor’s degree in a related field · 8-10+ years of U.S. immigration experience, either within a law firm (such as a supervising paralegal or managing attorney with responsibility for immigration petition preparation/filings) or in-house in an organization with a significant volume of immigration-supported employees or in a recruiting or HR role with heavy U.S. immigration involvement · 5+ years of experience in managing complex U.S. immigration programs, projects, or cases · J.D. or Master’s degree in related field · 10+ years of high volume business immigration experience with heavy emphasis
