Job Responsibilities Work with engineering and product management to translate business requirements into technical/functional specifications. Build project plans, balancing business needs with project risks and resource availability. Drive engineering project execution, make technical tradeoffs, track and report on status, and resolve blocking issues. Coordinate cross-team efforts spanning dozens of retail services and tools teams. Assist with recruiting, hiring process, and growing the team. Amazon is looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager to work on Amazon Go and Amazon Books, Amazon's first-ever brick and mortar retail stores. Amazon Go is a new kind of store with no lines and no checkout – you just grab and go! Customers simply use the Amazon Go app to enter the store, take what they want from our selection of fresh, delicious meals and grocery essentials, and go! · Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline. · 7+ years of experience the software industry, taking a product through its complete lifecycle. · Track record of successfully delivering projects on time, to scope, with high quality. · Independently driven, resourceful, and able to deliver results with minimal direction. · Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with developers, business owners, and senior business leaders. · Master’s/PhD in Computer Science or related field · Experience with designing and building large-scale systems in a multi-tiered, distributed environment
