Alexa is the groundbreaking, cloud-based intelligent agent that powers Echo and other devices designed around your voice. Our teams are creating best-in-market speech recognition science and technology for Alexa and Lex. We are looking for a technically strong, customer-focused product manager (PM-T) who has the visionary thinking to combine science, engineering, and technology to the market leading speech platform powering Alexa. Speech recognition is at the core of Alexa and every single team in Alexa depend on us. As a PM-T you think of speech recognition as a product enabling the Alexa experience with external customers, the Alexa users, and internal customers, the developers of Alexa features. You develop the strategies for understanding where accuracy and tooling gaps exist today and how we are addressing them short- and long-term, you develop product roadmap and priorities for speech recognition for Alexa and AWS Lex. In this role you leverage data and experience to make decisions,
· Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or a related technical discipline · 10+ years of work experience in technical program management, including experience in release schedules and coordinating cross functional teams in software engineering · 5+ years’ experience of managing technical program management, engineering, and/or science teams · 5+ years’ experience in system software design and development · PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Sciences, or Mathematics with specialization in speech recognition, natural language processing, or machine learning. · 3+ years’ experience
