Amazon Web Services is (AWS) is looking for an experienced and motivated technologist with a passion for creating strategies, best practices and applying technology to meet business requirements for the Outposts offering. Outposts brings native AWS services, infrastructure, and operating models to virtually any data center, co-location space, or on-premises facility. Customers can use the same APIs, the same tools, the same hardware, and the same functionality across on-premises and the cloud to deliver a truly consistent hybrid experience. Outposts can be used to support workloads that need to remain on-premises due to low latency or local data processing needs. AWS Outposts infrastructure is fully managed, maintained, and supported by AWS to deliver access to the latest AWS services. As a Sr. Specialist Solutions Architect for Outposts you will be: a trusted technical advisor to customers and other solution architects, an evangelist at customer events, and a leader for scaling knowledge
· 7+ years experience with IT architectures and systems for large-scale production applications · 5+ years of experience with on-premises Linux or UNIX infrastructure · Technical consulting and architecture of large-scale environments· Experience with cloud computing and/or related fields (IT, software, etc) including AWS services · Knowledge of computer architecture, Linux internals · Strong verbal and written communications skills · Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud · Experience operating solutions across multiple data center Amazon is an Equal Opportunity-Affirmative
