The Visual Studio Customer Engagement Team is chartered with helping developers make the most of their investment in our tools and technologies to accomplish their business goals. We collaborate directly with customers and partners to ensure their success by: Providing application design guidance Troubleshooting applications to identify and fix bug or performance issues Creating proof of concepts demonstrating key capabilities We are a geographically distributed team which means that relocating is not necessarily required. While much of our work is done remotely, occasional travel is required to support our customer engagements. The front door to building cloud-based business applications is the transformation of enterprises' software architecture and development lifecycle. This is a senior software engineering role with the opportunity for leadership and advancement. In this role, you will: Be involved in c ross group collaboration on a day to day basis. W ork with strategic customers to review their application architecture, code and other project deliverables. Have d irect customer engagement, interacting with them and understanding their pain points. U se modern frameworks and DevOps processes. A pproach customer problems with a holistic solution.
Basic: At least 5 years of industry experience in delivering experiences for web, mobile, consumer or the enterprise space. 3+ years of experience in a modern framework like .NET, Java or Node.js. 2+ years of experience in a modern programming language (C#, Java, JavaScript, Go, Swift, C++, etc.). 2+ years of experience with cloud-based solutions (Microsoft Azure, AWS or GCP). Preferred: A bility to build and maintain customer/partner relationships and understand their needs. A passion for technology with a desire to keep learning and to teach what you know.
