Finance Engineering is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to deliver our Finance Data Lake initiative. This work will transform and evolve our organization away from old paradigms of copying data and significantly improve our efforts towards driving data insights in near real time. You will have the opportunity to design and develop creative and compelling, solutions that enable teams to efficiently on-board their data in a cost-effective, compliant and secure way. Additionally, you will contribute to on-boarding of our highest priority assets to accelerate usage. You will develop software and services at scale, innovating on the latest technologies and modern engineering practices. Delivery of solutions will be done via a DevOps model where success not only includes delivering business value but having a cost-effective, reliable, stable and supportable solution. We partner closely with Microsoft product engineering teams to ensure a great solution is delivered that can help our customers
In this role, you will: Provide and execute on a data driven approach to software engineering through designing, coding, testing, debugging, problem solving and analytical skills Develop complete designs considering performance and maintainability and test interfaces that solve classes of problems, enable integration across groups of components, improve reuse to satisfy customer and engineering requirements. Consider maintainability and reliability during design Participate in On Call and Site Reliability rotations to support live site and drive engineered solutions to improve customer experiences
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 8+ years of software engineering experience building and shipping large-scale, high performance, scalable systems and services 7+ years of Development and test automation experience A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent alternative education, skills, and/or practical experience is required OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: Practical e xperience with distributed computing, BI, and databases Experience driving and establishing Continuous Integration and Delivery practices Previous experience with building and leveraging
