343 Industries is looking for a senior software engineer to help build our next-generation game editor to enable artists and designers to create innovative games in the Halo universe. We are looking for a talented and experienced engineer with proven ability to drive new tech and help us deliver a robust, solid game editor to create content for our large AAA game title. Being able to tweak and iterate on the game is where the fun comes from and the game editor is what enables the team to iterate. As a candidate, you should understand and have experience with the challenges of large, real-time application development and be enthusiastic to tackle ambiguous problems to enable user creativity.

Responsibilities Drive enhancement and development of the toolset in our internally developed game engine and game editor. Partner with tools and engine developers on the creation of new editor technologies to enable artists and designers to bring our game to life. Collaborate closely with content teams to analyze tools/workflows, determine areas for improvements, and design new features. Partner with team leads and tools architects to provide a long-term vision for the game tools.
Knowledge, experience and skills 5 years of professional C# experience 2 years of professional C++ experience Experience developing large WPF applications Experience working with large and complex tools and codebases Passion for creating amazing AAA game experiences Previous game development experience and knowledge of game development technologies Prior experience working with artists and designers Good understanding of algorithms, performance, optimization and debugging Solid 3D Math skills (linear algebra and trig.) Strong UX design sensibilities BS degree or equivalent industry experience One
