Microsoft Cognition Human Understanding (HU) team is seeking to work with the best researchers and engineers to advance the state-of-the-art technologies to improve the lives of people everywhere. Our HU Redmond team is looking for strong candidates to work together to build the fundamental technologies that can enable the next generation of human-machine interactions, virtual characters, and media data enhancement in order to better facilitate both Professional Generated Content and User Generated Content. By leveraging various Microsoft 1 st party products such as HoloLens, Azure etc., we can together create the world-level impact. More specifically, within the short-term, we are interested to work on face, body, hand and eye tracking and reconstruction that could support multimodal input signals from various devices such as PC, Phone, HoloLens, and Kinect. Develop and drive an ambitious, high-impact, product-oriented R and D agenda in the area of AI for human understanding. Collaborate with researchers to develop and test out new ideas based on current research. Write high-quality code to test new approaches, and help architect final end-to-end products and APIs.
Required Qualifications: 5+ years of software engineering experience in computer graphics, machine vision, speech, or related areas of applied research. Understanding of state-of-the-art machine learning and how to apply it to solve practical challenges. Effective communications skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment. Desired Qualifications: Experience in implementing and empirically evaluating state-of-the-art AI technology into the applications of human understanding.
