The Amazon Fire TV team is seeking an innovative Senior Development Manager for our fast growing business. You will be the single threaded leader for a new initiative and responsible for end-to-end business, customer experience, and product development. In this highly visible role, you will own the long-term vision and roadmap for advertising on Fire TV. You should be comfortable managing product, marketing, and engineering teams and owning all aspects of the advertising business. You should be customer obsessed, data-driven, and comfortable influencing up and down a large organization, especially at senior levels. The Senior Development Manager will manage both engineers and software development managers. As a senior leader you will co-own the backlog and roadmap with an established product group, working to deliver the most value for our customers in the shortest time. We need a leader who can think long term, advocate for strong engineering excellence, and find/fix growth challenges
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent. · 10+ years of industry experience in software development. · 5+ years of Software development experience in C/C++, Java, Python, Ruby and Linux · 3+ years of software management experience in leading full lifecycle development · 2+ years of experience applying system architecture and design principles· MS in Computer Science · Proven track record of high quality software delivery · Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences
