Who we are: Agile, technically fearless and working on a scale that is unprecedented. That is the Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) Networking team. We are working on the forefront of the rapidly evolving landscape of software-defined networking. Our goal is to build and re-engineer the virtual networking control plane to be highly operable, manageable and programmable to delight our customers. Many of the problems we are solving are at a scale and complexity that is unprecedented. What we are looking for: Are you rock star developer with passion for diving deep and at the same time have an appreciation for the big picture and long-term vision. In other words, are you are a technical leader with strong development skills who thrives in taking ownership and driving new inventions and simplifications on behalf of fast growing customer base of Amazon Web Services. · MS in Computer Science or related field and 5+ years of industry experience or BS in Computer Science or related field and 7+ years of industry experience · Experience building, leading and mentoring high-performance engineering teams · Proven object-oriented design and implementation skills (Java/C# and/or C++) · Strong verbal and written communication skills· Deep understanding of distributed systems, designing for fault tolerant systems, data structures and algorithms · Software development lifecycle and understanding of operations lifecycle · Passion for great customer experience and quality
