AWS is building services for the Internet of Things (IoT), such as AWS IoT Analytics and AWS IoT Events that empower our customers to use their IoT data to improve their businesses. The AWS IoT Analytics and Events team is recruiting a Software Development Engineer for a brand-new initiative to enable mission critical features to run locally and in conjunction with our back-end cloud services. The members of the AWS IoT Analytics and Events team are technologists from diverse backgrounds who obsess over our customer’s needs and feel a strong sense of ownership. The team is focused on delivering new capabilities and ensuring the service is secure and operationally sound and the team enjoys operating in an agile and collaborative manner. Candidates will enjoy seeing a direct impact of their work on real customer use cases, thrive in an agile environment and are comfortable managing ambiguity. · Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field · 5+ years of relevant work experience · Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, and complexity analysis · Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Java or C++ · Experience building large-scale web services backed by cloud services, such as AWS· Experience programming applications backed by AWS services · Experience in industrial automation or other IoT vertical domain · Experience in edge computing · Experience in data analytics · Experience developing solutions leveraging data science
