Amazon CloudWatch is seeking talented software developers to join our teams either in Herndon, VA. or Seattle, WA. Amazon CloudWatch is the monitoring service for AWS cloud resources and applications that run on AWS, giving customers actionable visibility into the health of their applications and services. Today we run one of the largest time-series data stores on the planet and teams in CloudWatch solve problems of massive metric ingestion, distributed systems/cloud computing, data visualization, log processing and analytics, anomaly detection, and predictive analytics. Our services are the “eyes and ears” for customers everywhere, both inside Amazon along with AWS customers across the world
· 5+ years of experience developing object-oriented software, with mastery of one or more relevant languages (Java, C#, C++, Ruby, etc.) · Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, or a related field · Must be a U.S. citizen and obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal · Depth in data structures and algorithms, especially those dealing with concurrency or scaling · Experience with Agile engineering practices, such as Scrum, Test-Driven Development, and Continuous Integration · Advanced degree in computer
