We transform the research into a highly scalable and available cloud service that powers Bing translate, Office translate, Cortana, Microsoft translator apps and Skype Translator. This team is a unique combination of 'research' and 'product' not seen at many other places. We have a lofty goal of breaking the language barrier and we have a lot of work left to do. We're a small, agile team, light on process, big on autonomy. We're currently hosted in Autopilot and are on the way to moving to Azure and Kubernetes. This is using a whole new stack of open source technologies (K8s, .Net core, Docker) and requires updating our code to meet new requirements.
