If so, then the Speech Recognition Runtime team is the perfect place for you! Speech is a leading Natural User Interface (NUI) and being integrated into an accelerating number of Microsoft products and applications! Speech has become more accurate and its application has become more useful - especially for customer experiences in the areas of command and control, task completion, web search, and dictation. It serves as the core to Cortana, HoloLens, Speech Translation, and 3rd party apps through our public Cognitive Services APIs. You will also work with experts in the areas of recognition and modeling (machine learning
Software development tasks include designing, implementing, and optimizing, high performance components and algorithms that make up the real-time recognition engines. You'll introduce telemetry to measure the behavior of your components and continue to enhance and implement new features. Ideal candidates for this position would have strong programming and algorithm design skills, a passion for AI/ML and a demonstrated ability to deliver high quality features in a highly collaborative team environment.
7+ years of software engineering experience is required Preferred Qualifications: Preferred candidates will have speech recognition or ML background, but it is not required. Master's degree or higher in computer science, mathematics, or engineering, is desired Outstanding C/C++ coding skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Results-oriented free thinkers with ability to socialize and drive their ideas into the technology are highly desired
