Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) is a web service that provides secure, resizable compute capacity in the cloud. It is designed to make web-scale cloud computing easier for developers. Specifically, we will be building new scalable services to disruptively enhance the EC2 launch experience for all EC2 customers across various flavors, scenarios, and requirements. We are the Hibernate team, and part of EC2’s Pricing and Launch Services group that helps customers to access compute resources at the best possible price based on current available supply and demand. In late 2018, we launched Hibernation for EC2 instances. Hibernate allows customers to pause their instances by storing it’s in-memory state on the EBS volume, and resume at latter point to pick up where they left off. We are rapidly innovating in this space and solving technically complex problems that deal with end-to-end EC2’s architecture. · 7+ years industry experience building successful production software systems · B.S. (or higher) degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience · Experience converting high-level product requirements into successful products through solid software architectures, engineering design and implementation. · Experience in modern programming languages (C/C++, Java, Python), open-source technologies and multiple operating systems (Linux, Android etc.) · Experience building scalable infrastructure software or distributed systems· Experience leading and developing cloud software
