The Microsoft Customer Service and Support (CSS) group is looking for an experienced technical Sr. SEO (Search Engine Optimization) Project Manager (PM) to help us digitally transform how we deliver support to millions of Microsoft customers across multiple products and channels (in-client/software, web, and social channels). The SEO PM will champion our organic traffic growth through smart, actionable search strategies. You'll provide strategic support to the engineering, support, and content production teams to create successful, winning content. You'll create an SEO strategy for each channel, evangelize the strategy with key stakeholders, and provide tactical recommendations for executions that will meet strategic goals and objectives. We're looking for someone who has an intimate understanding of content strategy and optimization, search engine crawling and indexing behavior, and search engine quality guidelines and has worked with a wide range of user experiences and audiences.

In this role, you'll: Provide insights, audits, recommendations and support in making strategic decisions for technical SEO health of Microsoft's digital support properties Own and maintain prioritized SEO roadmaps for Microsoft's digital support properties to ensure each site adheres to best practices, and capitalizes on SEO growth opportunities Be the primary project owner for technical SEO efforts across multiple Microsoft owned support websites and communicate to senior management on SEO project status and updates Ensure the customer search experience for self-help related to top assisted support
Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred in digital asset management/informatics, CS or related field 8+ years' in-house or agency SEO management experience required Firm understanding of Google quality guidelines Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills as well as strong conceptual thinking analytical and problem-solving skills Advanced knowledge of SEO methodologies and best practices, including and not limited to markup, meta and rel tag configurations, URL behavior, and crawl efficiency improvements with the ability to communicate with onsite
