Microsoft's Speech and Dialogue Research Group (SDRG) is looking for a highly talented and passionate research engineer to work on cutting edge research and development in the following areas: Speech Recognition, Dialogue, Natural Language Processing, Far Field Audio capture, and advanced Machine Learning frameworks for all aspects of machine mediated spoken language communication. The mission of our research group is to improve the state-of-art of speech and dialogue technologies
. We work closely with product teams to deliver the best technologies and products that are critical to our company's success and at the heart of the customer experience of artificial Intelligence. We perform a range of experiments, from formally designed tests using public or private data sets to examination of individual cases. We are an extremely agile team and we move very fast from ideas to experimentation, and to development. 6+ years of research or engineering experience Experience in speech and dialogue science and engineering, building scalable, secure, high performance, web services/experiences Strong practical and theoretical knowledge in some of the following areas: speech technologies, natural language processing, machine learning, dialogue systems Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills, strategic thinking, and a history of coming up with novel and elegant ideas and executing on them Advanced degree (Masters or PhD) in Computer Science or related fields
