Are you looking to be at the cutting edge of Computer Vision technologies, and real-world applications that can change the world? We are looking for a candidate that will work on inventing new computer vision techniques for processing data from a wide variety of streams, such as drones, robots, and other new streams. One of the applications of this work is in the context of Agriculture, where through Project FarmBeats we are using computer vision techniques, along with new systems and ML Algorithms, to enable data-driven farming techniques. Our team, the Azure Global Research Team, is relatively new. We are a small group of researchers who specialize in various domains, and a few seasoned developers. We invent new technologies, such as in FarmBeats , publish the research, work with industry on initial validation, and work with engineering teams to commercialize these technologies.
We are looking for a researcher who is passionate about inventing cutting edge Computer Vision techniques to transform the world, and transferring these innovations towards commercialization. The candidate should be familiar with broader computer vision research, be excited to code in addition to writing research papers, and be willing to work in a team with diverse skillsets.
Required Qualifications: Research experience on cutting edge computer vision systems Demonstrated ability to write reliable, low defect, unit tested code Preferred Qualifications Ability to work and communicate effectively across disciplines and teams Experience with Machine Learning (ML) systems BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering and/or equivalent industry experience 3+ years of software engineering experience with web services.
