The Supply Chain Optimization Technology (SCOT) manages inventory under uncertainty of demand, pricing, promotions, supply, vendor lead times, and product life cycle. We optimize tradeoffs among customer promise, Fast Track in-stock, sourcing cost, transportation cost, holding cost, inventory obsolescence, FC capacity, and FC location. In addition, SCOT automates and optimizes Amazon's global supply chain for physical goods. We're seeking a Senior Program Manager to drive strategic recruiting projects and efforts across SCOT teams. The right candidate will possess a strong program management background, will have demonstrated experience leading medium to large projects and can clearly, concisely communicate in various forums. You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. This means you are not only able to develop and drive high-level strategic initiatives, but can also roll up your sleeves, dig in and
· 5+ years of Program Management experience in a related industry · 3+ years of coding experience in Java, C++ or equivalent language · Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Finance, Accounting, Economics, and/or Business or equivalent experience · Advanced experience in analysis, planning, data analysis, and reporting. · Experience with business applications, especially in Excel · Excellent oral and written communication skills· Ability to build complex models using various statistical tools for optimization and then communicating plans or risks clearly. · Ability to communicate effectively with
