Amazon Web Services is looking for a seasoned supply chain professional to join our growing infrastructure team as a program manager for spares inventory planning. This role will play a critical part in building our capability to fulfill customer promise by ensuring the availability of hardware parts at the optimal cost to support on-going operations and projects, and to constantly stay ahead of the emerging needs. The Spares SCM Program Manager role will work on fundamentally changing the inventory planning, management, and fulfillment processes and systems for sparing. This role provides a real opportunity to develop original ideas into actions in a competitive and ever changing business climate (and experience Moore's law first-hand!). The position is an IC role and requires an individual who can work both autonomously and collaboratively in a demanding and often ambiguous environment with strong attention to detail and effective prioritization. Key responsibilities of this role are:
· Bachelor’s degree in procurement, supply chain or related field · 10+ years in program management / supply chain, or 7+ years of experience with an advanced degree · Experience with inventory planning, logistics, and procurement · Experience with process development and improvement· Experience in technology infrastructure · MBA or other advanced degree · 5+ years of experience in inventory planning · Program or Product Management experience · Ability to work in a fast paced environment · Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role · Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical
