The Azure Core Security Services (CSS) team is looking for stellar program manager with executive presence who will own and drive initiatives to ensure Hardware and Firmware security of the Azure Cloud. This is a broad role that will encompass driving an overall strategy and marshalling our organization, partner organizations, external vendors, silicon partners and integrator partners to design and build secure hardware and firmware from the ground-up, and provide a foundational Hardware Root of Trust. This role will also require engagement and socialization of our initiatives in HW and FW security with Azure customers. You will play a critical role identifying the right investment opportunities for the team collaborate with several partner organizations to enhance cloud and data center hardware and firmware security. Drive overall HW, FW and Supply Chain security strategies Prioritize and manage security review activities for various cloud server HW components (eg. BMCs, RMs, FPGAs, NICs, GPUs, Neural Accelerators) Driving fixes and planned rollouts across the Azure fleet Gain trust and influence broad stakeholders including engineering teams, partner orgs and peers Influence the industry towards secure hardware by representing Microsoft and driving workstreams at various forms such as https://www.opencompute.org/ Report progress in objective and concise formats to senior management, while providing recommendations
Required Qualifications: 6+ years experience driving large, complex programs and solutions using both direct and/or virtual teams (preferably in the hardware and/or silicon industry) BS Degree in Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering or Mathematics or equivalent experience. MBA preferred Preferred Qualifications: In-depth knowledge and understanding of cloud security , as well as security risk assessment and remediation methodologies is a plus. Proven ability to build successful partnerships and drive complex cross-group collaboration Experience with manipulating large data sets
