Amazon is looking for a highly motivated individual with strong analytical skills and project management experience to join North America supply chain team . The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying opportunities and implementing initiatives to improve and optimize inventory flow and fulfillment to our customers. As a member of the supply chain team they will play an integral part in Amazon.com's inventory management by successfully partnering with various operations, transportation, IT, engineering, retail, and finance teams to support new business initiatives. The candidate must be a self-starter comfortable with ambiguity, with strong attention to detail, an ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy and ever-changing environment, coupled with a strong technical skill set, taking a data-driven approach to solve complex problems across our inbound supply chain. The position provides opportunities to influence one of the high visibility/high impact areas in the organization
• A completed Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or 2+ years experience in related area. • 4+ years of demonstrated quantitative and qualitative experience with demonstrated impact to a business, a track record of creative problem solving and the desire to create and build new systems, tools and processes. • Cross functional project management experience • The role requires effective communication with senior management as well as with colleagues from computer science, operations research, and business backgrounds. • Experience communicating effectively with VP level decision makers
