The Inventory Placement team is looking for a Senior Product Manager - Technical (PM-T) to drive inbound placement optimization for the Retail business. The Inventory Placement team owns the systems that decide where to place hundreds of millions of units of inventory a week, globally. There are no textbook solutions to the problems we are solving and very few attempts have been made to solve at Amazon's scale, which necessitates deeply analytical thinking to solve problems. To succeed in this role, you will be comfortable diving deep and making data driven decisions. We are looking for a PM-T that enjoys solving complex supply chain problems and thrives in role with many stakeholders across teams and geographies. As the product owner for Retail inbound, you will define the roadmap and priorities in our team to support the growth of the Retail business while innovating to improve customer experience and manage supply chain costs. · Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or related fields · 2+ years of product management experience · Ability to work with teams at all levels of the organization · Experience shaping business strategy for technical products or services · Excellent written and oral communication skills with proven problem solving skills · Exceptional analytics skills· MBA or Master’s degree in Engineering, Management, or Technology preferred · Knowledge of Supply Chain/Logistics/Operations · Experience building roadmaps, managing product backlogs, and working closely with software development
