Imagine a world where Amazon’s Alexa voice assistant is always with you on-the-go. The Alexa Mobile Team is looking for a Sr. Product Manager, Technical who will help us bring that vision to life by building innovative distributed systems for the Alexa Mobile App. In this role you will work closely with our Engineering teams as the leader of a critical distributed system initiative for Alexa that enables next generation mobile experiences. You will be responsible for the strategy and vision for your product area, and lead the development and management of your engineering team's roadmap. To date, you will have led the development of large scale products that rely upon performant and scalable infrastructure. You have sufficient technical depth to represent the customer trade offs within a system design. You know how to assess complex technical challenges considering customer needs, constraints and long-term scalability. You are highly analytical and able to synthesize key insights for stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related field - MBA or Master’s degree, or equivalent work experience - 7+ years of professional experience - 5+ years of software product management experience - Professional experience managing complex technology in the domains of distributed systems, databases, operating systems or other highly concurrent software - Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver products and projects on tight deadlines - Experience coordinating complex product development cycles and software development schedules - MBA or PhD - Two years of post-MBA
